Concepts intertwined with mental imbalance manifesting in a distorted perception of reality, leading to a loss of self-control, irrational behavior, and even hallucinations. Etymologically, dementia refers to a state detached or estranged from the mind. A condition that can evolve over several years or be triggered by a singular event, an unexpected moment to which the individual was completely oblivious. Through the use of light painting techniques combined with silhouettes and their distortion, this portfolio captures the singular moment that precipitates the protagonist's descent into madness. It depicts various stages of the psychological and mental state through which this protagonist traverses, culminating in a pure, unreasoned act of desperation and loss of self-control. The ultimate moment reveals the protagonist's nonexistent connection with the real world, driving them to sever this connection, both literally and physically.
